We are unable to find any such regulation or requirement about a washed truck in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. If you are able to find this, please comment below.
Please explain what "excessive oil and or grease" means.
For example:
- Does it mean a leak?
- Does it mean a glob of fifth wheel platform grease hanging off the end of the platform?
- Does it mean excess oil from a lubrication?
- Or other?
Please be more specific. Thanks.
We wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road.
If you are fortunate enough to get inspected in California, the officer has the authority to issue you a citation for excessive Oil and or grease. A clean truck gets inspected less than a dirty one
