Notes, Grade, Recommendation, Comments: Shower Review Pilot West Virginia Nitro

[su_table responsive=”yes” alternate=”yes” fixed=”no” class=””]

Was there anything else noteworthy about your shower experience?: I was very impressed with the “hospitality” in the room, as shown in the photo. There was a nice vase of artificial flowers in the back left corner of the counter, a small dish with two pieces of candy and the arrangement of the 2 towel/washcloth rolls was nice. While there was no letter from management in the room, there was a friendly, personalized card from the janitor (Omar) sitting on the candy dish. He greeted us warmly and hoped that we would enjoy our shower.
Based on your personal expectations, what grade would you give to this shower facility and your shower experience today (A+ is best; F- is worst)?: B
Based on your experience today, would you recommend this shower facility to other professional drivers?: Maybe
Additional comments:: Although the toilet seat was up and the water in the toilet had small bubbles on top (indicative of the toilet having been cleaned), there were fecal marks in the bottom of the bowl, indicating that the bowl had not been scrubbed with a brush. This room has seen some hard usage, as evidenced by dark spots (dirt?) in the corners and rust on the mirror frame. While the built-in seat was bigger than the seats I’ve seen at some Pilots, it still was not big enough for my over-sized shower bag. While this shower experience would have earned an A+ on hospitality, the cleanliness would have been a C-, therefore netting a rating of B. Management needs to address the mold/mildew situation in this room and make sure that the toilets in all shower rooms are scrubbed prior to each customer’s use.
