Shower Review Pilot Florida Wildwood
This "Shower Review Pilot Florida Wildwood" is a review
of the shower facility at the Pilot
Travel Center in Wildwood, FL, USA, based upon our
own expectations of what a shower facility that caters to
professional truck drivers of commercial motor vehicles should be like,
our own preferences (especially in comparison to a home bathroom), and
our observations.

Shower #3
Pros: Shower Review Pilot Florida Wildwood
- Fan worked well
- Mirror was well positioned on
wall behind sink for
both short and tall drivers
- Water pressure from sink was
good
- Water pressure from the shower
stall was good
- Electrical outlets worked well
- Showerhead could be positioned
where needed
- Water could be turned on and
temperature adjusted in shower without having to get wet
- Shower water temperature did
not change significantly when the toilet was flushed
- Door restrictor worked well
- Towels were adequate
- Washcloth was adequate
- Toilet flushed well
- Mike was able to get two more
towels from the attendant.
- Besides the standard towel and
wash cloth, there were both a small package of soap and a paper
bath mat waiting for us.
- The showerhead delivered a good
spray, like a home showerhead.
- It was obvious from the two
different colors of tiles that this facility had replaced the tile in
the shower stall some time in the past.
Cons: Shower Review Pilot Florida Wildwood
- This was the smallest shower
room we've ever been in.
- There was absolutely no
"counter" space in the room. The only elevated horizontal surfaces upon
which we could put our personal hygiene items were the very small
spaces on the back of the sink, the top of the toilet and the built-in
seat.
- The sink had a pretty good
sized hole on it, large enough for a man's ring to fall into. The hole
did not merely drop through to the floor. Anything that may fall into
the hole would be irretrievable.
- Of the two extra towels
provided to us by the attendant, both seemed slightly damp to the touch
(compared to the one towel waiting for us in the shower room) and one
had dark stains on it like it had either been used to clean someone's
boots or wipe up the floor. The stains may have had no bearing on the
cleanliness of the towel, but it looked bad.
- Showerhead was not positioned
in stall to minimize water from splattering on the floor outside the
stall.
- Shower water pressure lowered
slightly whenever someone flushed a toilet
- Built-in seat was too
small for an
oversized shower bag to rest on
- There was no light directly
over the mirror to let male customers shave without getting nicked.
- When Vicki threw out her used
cotton swab in the trash can (which was equipped with a swinging lid),
she was very surprised that a fly flew out. Who knows where it went.
