Important Notice

  • Keep the Home Fires Burning

On October 12, 2021, we (Mike and Vicki Simons) will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary!

    Woohoo!

The Lord has blessed us in many ways, including with having a close marriage and good health.

Just like any couple, we have had to work at making sure that there are no communication, financial or other issues that come between us -- including during those years when Mike was away from home for weeks at a time as a regional trucker.

We share information on our site about positive encouragement between a trucker and his/her home support team, including telecommunications options and what to do on special holidays like Valentine's Day.

If you have ideas about how to stay close to the ones you love while you're on the road as a trucker, we'd love to get your feedback.

Earn More, Save More

An October 6, 2021, article stated: "Colorado transportation officials say that a portion of I-70 will be closed for most of the day on Wednesday following a multi vehicle crash late Tuesday night."

If you were stuck in traffic on a road that had been closed due to an accident -- and had no way to get on a detour -- you would probably lose the income that you could have earned had you stayed loaded and rolling.

Not only that, but any money that you could have made from hauling subsequent loads might have been lost, too!

Isn't it time to learn how to earn a second income for truckers?
