Earn More, Save More

Sometimes, detours are necessary, like when there is a rock slide, a mudslide, flooding, etc.

According to a September 10, 2021, article:

"Beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, and continuing through noon Friday, Sept. 17, U.S. 60 between Superior and Miami, Arizona, will be closed to traffic.

"During the five-day closure, drivers should expect an extra hour of travel and a 10% grade as traffic is detoured onto State Routes 77 and 177 through Winkleman."

Is there ever a way to make up for extra time you spend driving on a detour because of a road closure?

If you learn how to earn a second income for truckers, you can!

In the USA, the autumnal equinox will occur on Wednesday, September 22.

Following that date (until the spring equinox in 2021), there will be more hours of darkness than light.

If you have not already done so, prepare yourself and your truck for cooler temperatures.

In some places, laws regarding carrying snow chains are already in effect.

If this will be your first winter driving season, learn from veteran truckers how best to navigate the roads.

If you're an OTR trucker, you'll want to have some warmer or winter clothing with you -- as well as the means by which to stay warm in your truck when you're sleeping (perhaps by having and using an insulated sleeping bag).

Also, we have food and recipe ideas for preparing hot meals in your truck on our site.

To all of our readers who are professional truck drivers, we wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road!

Best regards,

Mike and Vicki Simons, Owners
