Earn More, Save More

When the ATRI published their report about the effect of e-commerce on the trucking industry, we noted in one article that "The number of intra-regional and last-mile truck trips has increased, while the average length of haul has declined."

Since many truckers are paid on the basis of the miles they run, doesn't it follow that a decline in the average length of haul mean that those truckers are
  • either spending more time doing non-driving tasks
  • or that it is taking longer to drive their assigned miles,
and hence have experienced an overall decline in per-hour income?

While we think that the model upon which truckers are paid needs to change, it may take some time for a new model to be adopted industry-wide.

But that doesn't mean that you have to just sit back and wait.

Those who want to earn more money would do well to find out how to spend their non-trucking hours earning a second income.

You can learn more through SecondIncomeForTruckers.com and even get free access to our Second Income for Truckers Video Mini-Course.
