Volvo Visors Breaking Hinges?

by Kelvin
(Mississippi)

Has anyone come up with a good reliable fix to the Hinges continuing to break on the Volvo VNL Visor compartment Hinges breaking? I can't come up with anything that I think will work.

Response from Vicki:

Hello, Kelvin,

Since we are unfamiliar with Volvo trucks, I've attempted to research this subject online.

When I search for information about Volvo VNL Visor compartment Hinges breaking, I'm seeing pages come up that have a visor on the outside of the truck. I can't figure out what a "visor compartment hinge" is unless it's on the inside.

Are you talking about something inside the truck -- as may be the case with the sun shade type of visor that we reference on our extendable visor page?

Additionally, there may be other drivers who read our blog, news feed and website who know exactly what you're talking about and can help you out. So, drivers, if you know of a fix for this, would you please comment? Thanks in advance.

On behalf of Mike and me, we wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road.

Best regards,
Vicki Simons
