Reader Review: burton digital stove to go

I got mine about 2 months ago. I like it and have cooked in it nearly every day. I have made beef stew, beef and beans, ham and beans, pot roast, spaghetti with sausage, and many other types of meals. I have used it to heat up canned food as well. I've not had any of the problems that most folks say they have had, except for the non stick coating peeling on it. I plan to contact them about this and see about getting the pan replaced. Other than that and it falling and the handle breaking, i've had no troubles with it.
----- Response from Vicki:
Hello, Zack,
Thank you for sharing your experiences with the Max Burton Digital Stove to Go. This product is different from the non-digital version (which we plan to review ourselves).
Please let us know what Burton's response was to the non-stick coating peeling. You can comment below to update your submission. Also, please let us know if you are able to replace the handle and pan. Are those parts that you can order from Burton and install yourself -- or do you have to send the whole unit back? Is your unit covered under a warranty?
We can see the advantages of having a locking lid on a cooking device (as opposed to the non-locking lid on a crock pot, which we have often used to cook while riding down the road).
We're glad you have been able to cook a variety of foods in your Burton Digital Stove to Go. We would appreciate any special recipes you have developed to cook in it, which you may share through the Food and Recipes section on our site.
Thanks again for sharing. On behalf of Mike and me, we wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road.
Best regards, Vicki Simons
