On eBay and Amazon Marketplace you can buy the Bar Exam study tapes from the final exam for law school on CD's. (If you don't mind being a year or two out of date, they are cheaper.) It comes with about 50 current CD's for around $100.

They also sell study CD's for specialty law exam classes like Maritime Law or Aviation Law on eBay. Many people spend $100,000 on law school just for the knowledge, never to practice anyway. You now must attend Law school to take the Bar unless you went to correspondence school in California.

The legal CD's are called PMBR.

Thanks for your money saving tip for truck drivers. I'm combining a couple of your tips together since it was obvious they were meant to go together.

I'm not sure how many drivers will want to learn law over the road in order to actually practice it later, but one never knows. Also, it may never hurt for drivers to be aware of legal precedents set in the field of transportation, or for the purpose of fighting an unfair ticket.

We aren't sure if the one at right is the set you're referring to or not, as there are lots of resources available from Kaplan. We mention on our entertainment page the option that drivers have for listening to audiobooks and music while they drive. However, "studying" (by listening to a CD) to take a test while driving may be a totally different ball game. Professional drivers really need to concentrate on driving. If a task interferes with their ability to do that, it is best to reserve it for non-driving hours. I think that's what you meant about the liability of listening on the road while one drives in one of your posts.

As you may know, there is an old saying that a man who represents himself in court has a fool for a client. It would be rare for a professional truck driver to know enough law in all 50 states (and all the tiny little jurisdictions therein) to adequately represent himself if he were ticketed. For this, we recommend that drivers seriously consider getting a top-rated prepaid legal services plan.
