We're Mike and Vicki Simons. We've build Truck-Drivers-Money-Saving-Tips.com to help you save money. Because of our truck driving experience -- and having endured the same kinds of things you're going through on the road -- we understand your needs. Saving money on the road may seem like a daunting task for truckers because everywhere you travel, someone wants a piece of your paycheck. Wherever you travel, there are businesses serving the trucking industry that can cater to just about every need you have -- or your truck has -- for a price. You can be earning a fantastic paycheck and still have nothing left to show for all your hard work. In the end, "It's not just how much you earn that counts; it's also how much you keep!" Specifically, how can we help? |

We provide real world tips that help professional truck drivers save hard-earned money and personal reporting about products and services for use on the road.
We've developed this unique website as a place to share the tips we have learned through the years -- and where other professional drivers can do the same.
In other words, here's what you can do on this site...
There are millions of professional truck drivers in the United States alone and many more worldwide. So, the opportunities for saving money on the road abound. No matter the hemisphere, the climate in which you drive or the system of currency you use, being wise about your spending and saving is always smart.
Even if your goals are small to begin with, we'd like to show you how to multiply savings to keep more money in your pocket.
As most of our professional driving experience has been either coast-to-coast (aka "transcontinental") team driving or regional solo driving, most of the money saving tips you'll find on this site are geared for long-haul professional drivers, both company drivers and owner-operators. However, even local truck drivers and those with courier driving jobs can apply at least some of our money saving tips.
We envision company drivers, owner-operators, driver managers, fleet managers, trucking company owners and officers, and drivers' home support teams all being able to use the information on this site to save money.
Throughout our site, you'll learn more about us, including both our successes and bone-headed mistakes. Yes, you read that right: we tell you when we ran into a problem and what we did about it. Why? So that you won't repeat our mistakes!
We have written our pages with plenty of truck drivers money saving tips, including those in sections that look like this:
Money saving tip:
Perhaps you'll learn something new. Or perhaps you know something that we don't.
While we have written about what does and does not work for us in our trucks over the years, you may have a different opinion. And that's OK!
We realize that every professional driver's trucking experience is slightly different and that the needs of drivers across the industry vary greatly.
With your help, we're looking to expand our website to provide money saving information on lots of different topics, information that provides tangible value to you and other professional drivers everywhere.
Every professional truck driver has a story about saving money or spending too much money in trucking. So, what's your truck driver money saving tip?
Now a word of encouragement for the financially overwhelmed driver, perhaps the one who is living paycheck to paycheck ...
Our headline above states, "Financially Savvy Professional Truck Drivers Use Money Saving Tips Today." You may be thinking, "I don't consider myself to be 'financially savvy.' How can your site help me?"
Remember, the journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step. Everyone who ever succeeded at something had to start somewhere. You can be financially savvy if you make up your mind to be. Set goals (small ones, if necessary), persevere, and you will succeed!

Whether you're in the beginning stages of thinking about becoming a truck driver -- possibly by enrolling in a truck driver training school -- or you're already a seasoned driver with many years of experience under your belt, we want to help you save lots of money. And knowing that the economy is in a downturn, there's never been a better time to implement some strategies and tips to save you money.
