8000 Pro HD

Review This ProductI’m glad to see other are having as much trouble with theirs as I am with mine. I try to put in an address and I get the same response from the gps address can’t be found. It does not recognize highways that I’m driving on. I have a ten year old garmin that’s twice the unit. And like a dope I spent over 400 dollars on the piece of junk thinking it would be great for a truck driver.

Response from Vicki:

Scott, thanks for your product review of the 8000 pro hd (possibly a Cobra GPS unit).

DAT TruckersEdge - Most Loads. Best Rates. Serving Owner-Operators Since 1978. 10% off your first 12 months. New customers only.

I’m so sorry that you’ve had such difficulties but please do not take this lying down (so to speak).

Where did you buy the unit and are you still within the return period (possibly 30 days) of the retailer from whom you purchased it?

If you’re not within your return period from the retailer — or the retailer refuses to give refunds on electronics like this — have you contacted the manufacturer?

Have you clearly put in writing to the retailer/manufacturer “why” you’re asking for a refund?

If your request for a refund has fallen on deaf ears and if you have a trucker legal plan, have you contacted your law firm to have a letter written in your behalf to request a refund?

I wish you great success in getting a refund for this defective unit.

My husband Mike and I wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road.

Best regards,
Vicki Simons
